Hi there! My name’s Adam, and I like to write.
If you’re reading this, I’d like to first say thank you for taking the time to visit my site! My name is Adam Ladner Scott, and I am the author of the Restart Again series. I initially started the project in March of 2019, and have been working on it every day since. I’ve had a blast discovering my passion for the new hobby, and while I certainly wouldn’t consider myself a professional, I like to think my skills get a bit sharper every time I sit down to write.
While I love writing, I am entirely a hobbyist. As much as I would like to make a living in the field (and who knows, maybe I will someday!), it certainly doesn’t pay the bills right now. My “real” job is as a Quality Control Scientist at a veterinary diagnostics company in southern Maine. It is a job in the field I went to college for (BioEngineering at the University of Maine), and I really enjoy it!
In terms of who I am, I’d say I’m a pretty boring person. You can usually find me at home, either watching TV with my girlfriend and my dog or sitting in front of my PC playing video games (or writing). The recent tabletop games craze has certainly taken hold of me as well, and we have a group of friends that play all sorts of games together, although recent times have forced that into a more online space as well (Internet Historians, please note that this was written in July of 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic).
I’ve always been pretty bad at selling myself, so I’ll cap things off here. If there are any important topics I’ve missed, feel free to send me a message over on my Twitter (conveniently linked below in the footer of this webpage)! Direct any business inquiries to my email, which is also linked below. Otherwise, thanks for stopping by, and as always, thanks for reading!
~Adam
P.S.: I know you can’t mention a pet on the internet without paying the picture tax, so here is my dog Souki! We adopted her from our local shelter three years ago. They didn’t know what breed she was, but our best guess is a beagle/bulldog mix.
