Hey everyone! It’s certainly been a while since I last wrote an update post. Never fear, I’m still here furiously tapping away on my keyboard every night as Volume 3 progresses. I’ve considered making a post before now, but my old Google Sites page was really bumming me out with its lack of features. Not being able to post direct links to my new updates made me feel a bit unprofessional, and I was constantly running into the limitations of the service in terms of organization and web tools.

So, here we are! A few hours of work later, I’ve got my own custom domain name and a fully customizable webpage. I know it looks a bit plain and barren right now, which is putting my lack of any artistic vision on full display, but I feel like a website that works and serves the content I want to serve is the most important thing in this situation. I’ll probably end up rearranging some things, and maybe even add a bit of color to the various pages, but I’m quite happy with what I have in comparison to where I was. My homepage automatically updates with my latest blog posts and art uploads, and fans now have the ability to subscribe to an email list that will blast out any important updates.

Speaking of artwork, how about that new character art? Getting an official piece of artwork for the main character of my book was certainly LONG overdue, but I think it was worth the wait for this fantastic piece. Check this out:

Boom! Artwork in line with a blog post. That’s some new tech right there! In case you missed the other new pieces of art:

I couldn’t be happier with the artwork. All three of these pieces were done by the fantastic @4hnyu: go check out the rest of their work on Twitter and show them some love for this amazing artwork! These will be used as my official character references going forward, and will inspire countless other artists for future commissions.

If you’re here after reading Volume 1, you probably aren’t familiar with Valandra. She’s a character that was introduced in Volume 2, which is still currently being processed before its official release. If you’d like to read WIP chapters, they are posted twice a week on my Royal Road page (linked in the footer of this webpage). Those chapters will stay up to read for free on there until the book is released for purchase on Amazon, and then will sadly disappear (due to contractual agreements with the Kindle Unlimited program).

Progress report time! Work on Volume 3 has been going fantastically as of late. This may not seem like impressive numbers compared to more experienced, professional authors, but I’ve been averaging almost 1,000 words per day since I created the document in early June. As of tonight I’ve passed the 37K mark, and there’s no sign of slowing down! I’m sure this pace will cool off eventually, but I’m having a blast writing lately.

That’s all I can think of for updates at the moment, so I’ll wrap things up. My cover artwork is officially in progress, and should be done sometime in August, so expect another blog post around then. Once that comes in, I should have a pretty good idea of when the book will be ready for release. In the meantime, poke around the site and let me know what you think! This website also has the added benefit of a comment section on my blog posts, so I don’t have to redirect people to my Twitter account (linked in the footer) or my email (see footer) to leave feedback. Feel free to pop in and say hi! Until then, thank you all so much for your continued support, and as always, thanks for reading.

~Adam
