As the title might have tipped you off, the audiobook version of Restart Again: Volume 1 has officially released! You can find it on Audiobooks.com or on Audible.com. I’m hopeful that my Amazon page will update to include the Audible link sometime soon so you can find every version all in one place, but that process is mostly out of my hands for the time being. Still, very exciting times!

It’s a bit of an odd situation I find myself in with this audiobook release, because despite the fact that I’ve received over a dozen reviews on it since it came out Wednesday, I still haven’t listened to it myself! I worked with Tantor Media to produce the audiobook and was able to choose my narrator, but once that and some cover artwork decisions were made the production process moved full steam ahead without any further need of my input. While I have a free copy ready to be downloaded, I didn’t get it ahead of the release, and have been pretty busy for the last few days. I’m sure Alex did a great job with the narration, but it’s still a bit of a weird feeling to know other people have listened to it before the writer!

If you’re reading this soon after I’ve published it, that most likely means you already follow me (either on Twitter or this website itself), and have most likely already read Volume 1. As such, the audiobook release probably isn’t the biggest news for you, and that’s understandable! I’m hopeful this new version can grab another chunk of the audience that would have otherwise never found the project, and this tiny community of readers I’ve found can grow a little bigger.

Brief progress update before you go! Volume 2 continues to crawl towards the finish line. Due entirely to my own lack of foresight, the insert art hasn’t been started yet (my new artist for Volume 2 is a very busy person, as it turns out!) but I think it’ll be worth the wait. The final editing pass is over halfway done at this point as well, so I’m still hopeful that I can get it out in October. I give my personal guarantee that regardless of what happens, it WILL be out by the end of the year, and you can hold me to that!

Volume 3 is speeding ahead as per usual; I passed the 80,000 word mark on Tuesday. I’ll most likely surpass the word count of Volume 1 by the end of next week, and then I’ll start closing in on Volume 2! Although it isn’t my intention, Volume 3 is definitely shaping up to be the longest one yet! I’ve definitely learned from my mistakes in Volumes 1+2, and will make sure the artwork and editing start immediately after completion of the rough draft. No long waits with no progress this time!

That’s all I’ve got for you today. Whether you’re a new audiobook listener or a long time fan, I hope this new format for Volume 1 can give you some enjoyment. Until next time, stay safe out there, and as always, thanks for reading!

~Adam
